Parents out of Canada for more than 6 months - Oath Ceremony invite

Hello my parents got invite to ceremony in end of May 2026.

They are not in Canada as they left for back home in January and plan to come back in October 2026 .

IRCC mentioned to send an email with date you last were in canada and plan to come back .
If they come in October and since its more than 6 months will they still ask for a PCC from the country ?

Has anyone did the reschedule of more than 6 months ?

Hey, I did not reschedule that far out. My initial date and new date was well within a month.
However, I remember reading on a Facebook group (don't quote me on this) that there was a person asking to reschedule after 3-4 months and once they got back to Canada, they got their new date the following week.

In your case, it's better to write back to IRCC, clearly tell them your expected arrival date and see what they advise you to do.
