Hi, What is the current ETA for getting the e-Visa India? Does it consider weekends or all weekdays only? Also, is the Surrender Certificate mandatory to initiate e-Visa? I was thinking to surrender in India, thanks

@abinition What eventually happened in your spouse's case? Can you share your experience? I might be in a similar situation soon.

Hi , I am applying for evisa to India , travelling next month . Need help to confirm do i need surrender certificate for applying evisa as the surrender won't be done yet but already have canadian passport .
And another question that evisa form has ques for any previous visit to india with visa number . As I came here in 2021 as PR since than I never visited back. Should i answer that no or provide any kind of info . Have you ever visited India before ? If anyone have came across with same suitiation or have idea really appreciated . Thanks

Surrender certificate not needed. Second question is about your India visit using Canadian passport. Not applicable in your case.

You’ll need the citizenship certificate before applying, and that usually arrives a few days after the oath, so the tight part is getting a same-day or 24‑hour passport appointment
If the travel date can’t move, I’ve used https://travelbusinessclass.com before to snag last‑minute premium fares at good rates, which helped keep plans flexible while waiting for documents
