Application changes from "pending" to "under process" . And note changes from not acknowledged to other information at each stage. It would not be specifically mentioned acknowledged.

Ok how would I know it is acknowledged? Which status indicates acknowledged?

Hi everyone,

My OCI application status recently changed from “Pending” to “Under Process”, but at the bottom it still says “Application Not Acknowledged.”



Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this, and how long did it take for the status to update?

Hello,

Can an OCI reissuance request, due to a new Canadian passport, be done entirely online (through OCI portal) for someone above 20 years of age?

Also, for minors, my understanding is nothing needs to be done except we have to carry old and new passport along with the OCI issued on the old passport when we travel to India? Please confirm.

I think, for reissue of OCI Card, after attaining 20 years and getting a new passport, we need to pay and need to apply through BLS. For other times just updating online will be sufficient and no fee.

Wow within 20 days thats great. Mine is stuck for more than a month now in Vancouver.

Its been 4 months now, no update and it still shows UNDER PROCESS.

I actually mailed the consulate today. I automated got a reply back saying its about 10-12 weeks. You are nearing the timeline. I'll probably wait for few more days and then email the Consul.

I took a Visa back in Jan. So no rush but yeah good to have it.
