I'm 2024 January refugee claimant I have not got an email from IRCC. However i got a email from ICAC pilot program since September 2024 saying "No intervention of minister" " less complex case " .I dont hear from my lawyer when I try contacting him he seems I'm bothering him ( only contact him 3 time since my application )... with all this new rules coming im so sad all over with the uncertainty to what will happen to refugee..PS: I'm employed !!

If your application is being considered a less complex case because your application has a high chance of being approved then I would be less concerned about bill c-12. Hard to comment without knowing your case. Processing times are quite long even for less complex cases these days. Being employed is not a factor when determining who gets protected person status.

Hi All. I received ICAC less complex letter in 2024 scheduled for 3 hours but my hearing was over 5 hours long (2026 2years later). I received a positive decision on table. This journey has been brutal. Whilst struggling I remembered that there s a kingdom whose streets are made of pure translucent Gold, where there is no pain. If we can struggle like this for an earthly kingdom, then we can strive to enter in through the narrow way. There is a better citizenship, a better destination & a better world. To find out how recommend Professor Walter Veith "Total onslaught series". I await patiently for the coming kingdom, where they l be no fear of Tarrifs, & no more suffering.
I think you will not be affected because your case is already considered less complex so worry less. Also kindly stop giving the lawyer liberty to feel disturbed and bothered. You are their client and they have to be there for you each time you have questions.
You are paying them money to handle your case (even if its legal aid, they wouldn't get it if it weren't for you hiring them)so they need to have answers for you when you feel disturbed about a few legal issues concerning your case.

A did hear back from my lawyer early December 2025 to provide evidence for file review,
I did and got a positive decision in January 2026 .
I applied for PR a few days early in March 2026 I took me a while to get some documents for my kids back home .
I forgot about this post to update it but I already commented my update on other post on the forum.
