Hi, when can I expect the PAL? Got AOR on Feb 6th, ADR documents sent on feb 10th. My tracker shows background check in progress, and eligibility is not started. Medical and Bio completed. But the Update date of the tracker is feb 17th, however there is no new activity showing.

Hi @Miss bee ,
I don’t have any questions today. I’m writing simply to say thank you, truly and deeply.
Two years ago, during one of the most stressful and uncertain times in my life, you were there. You patiently answered my questions, guided me step by step, and gave me reassurance when I needed it most. Because of your help, I was able to receive my PR. Honestly, without your support, I don’t know if I would have made it through that journey.
What you do here is extraordinary. You give your time, your knowledge, and your energy to complete strangers, asking for nothing in return. You may not always see the impact of your kindness, but it changes lives, it changed mine.
You are truly one of those rare, unsung heroes who quietly make the world better. On behalf of the thousands of people you have helped, supported, and guided, I want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness will never be forgotten.:):)

I totally agree. @Miss bee helped me a lot as well.

Hi guys, posting my timeline here and wondering how much longer it could take?

Dec 7, 2024 - Applied
Oct 21, 2025 - AOR
Oct 23,2025 - Biometrics done
Jan 13, 2026 - additional docs request (updated imm5669, paystubs, letter of employment and financial)
Jan 16 2026 - documents sent
Jan 23 - pre-arrival services letter received

And nothing else so far. They haven't even requested medical exams yet (did one in Brazil in 2020 for study permit). Any thoughts would be really helpful

Thanks! :)
I received my PAL on Sep 29, 2025 and still haven't heard from IRCC since then (applied in Nov 2024, AOR in Jul 2025). I also did a medical exam in Brazil for the study permit back in 2018, but they haven't requested a new one yet.

Sit back and relax, because if your PAL is from Jan 2026, it might take a while to get your medical request. But who knows... the IRCC isn't bound by logic and math.

Hi everyone, I hope you're doing well!

I applied for permanent residence Non-Express Entry(PNP) in New Brunswick in December 2024 , and in October 2025 they finally responded saying they had started working on our application. They asked for additional information and requested biometrics.

Do you have any idea how much longer it might take to receive a decision? In theory, I’m not missing anything else regarding documents or requirements.

Basically, I completed everything in December 2025.

Thanks for your time and support!

Since you applied under a Non-Express Entry PNP (paper-based) stream for New Brunswick in December 2024 and IRCC only started processing in October 2025, your timeline is actually quite typical for this category. Paper-based PNP applications processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada usually take around 18 to 24 months (sometimes longer) from the date they receive the full application. Because you completed biometrics and submitted the additional documents in December 2025, you are now in the final assessment stages (eligibility, background, security, and medical review if not already finalized). If everything is complete and there are no complications, many applicants in similar situations receive a decision within 4 to 8 months after biometrics, though it can vary depending on background checks and overall processing volume. Realistically, you could expect a decision sometime between spring and late summer 2026, but this is only an estimate. If your medicals are passed and background check moves to “in progress,” that’s usually a good sign you are getting closer to final decision.

Hey! @Miss bee thanks a lot for your quick response! I really appreciate it.
It wasn’t (paper based) it was online but Non-express entry.
They asked me for additional information that was uploaded in December 2025. My PR portal doesn’t have a lot of information and it doesn’t allow me to see anything else. I think I have to request de GCMS notes but Idk if I have to wait a little more.

I’m trying to stay positive and calm.
Thanks again for your time.
