Any idea how long it's taking for eCOPR to be issued? P2 was Dec 19, so almost a month. While I understand we had the holidays, I was under the impression that it was faster. Thank you

So what date should we consider as the "start date" for counting how long it's taking for our PR Card?

I've been assuming it's the COPR date which was 12/10 for us, ours probably won't be here till the 2nd week of February, based on the latest processing time. :/
My wife (PA) is planning on leaving for a trip February 3rd, so it's close.

Anyone here still waiting for the background check to be completed? We were asked for a CV in November 2025. No updates since then.

In my "Congratulations! You are now a permanent resident (PR) of Canada!" email, they state:

"The Permanent Residence Confirmation Portal status will continue to display as “Ready for Review” until your PR card is sent to your Canadian address."

Unless I'm looking in the wrong spot, my Portal status is "'Closed". Does this mean my card is currently in the mail?

When did you get P2? It's from 2 to 4 months after that.

Any eCOPRs so far?? I understand it's delayed, but it seems like it's literally the simplest of steps.
Replied to P2 45 days ago and this is what I see:

Step 1: In Canada Declaration - submitted to IRCC with a check mark
Step 2: Documents required
Please complete step 1 to enable step 2.
Mailing address: in review with IRCC
Photo: in review with IRCC

At this point, I don't even know if this is how it's supposed to be.... So frustrated. Having a hard time renewing OHIP and other documents at this point.

I just wanted to share the terrible experience I had with reaching out to my MP for assistance. The staff member was rude, dismissive, judgmental, and provided incorrect information. She said it can take up to 6 months for eCOPR to be granted, that implied status does not exist, that one is not allowed to have an OHIP while waiting for a decision, that I should NOT contact IRCC (I raised a webform a week ago), that they had already told me to wait on their reply (I was provided with their standard reply), that we should be thankful that my spouse is being allowed to stay here, making inappropriate comments and chastising about decisions we made, etc.
This person monitors the MP's email so I know it's no use complaining about her but I am SO FRUSTRATED. I was so hopeful as my spouse's OHIP is about to expire and I have heard great things about people being assisted by their MP's. Guess not.

Name and shame the MP. (within your circle, that is, not here unless you're OK with people knowing what area you live in)

This also reminds me why I haven't reached out to my MP yet about anything (granted our case was mostly within normal timing).

I could be wrong but it seems to me it is by application date so yours shouldn't be too far away
