I'm honestly confused and anxious. I spoke to three different attorneys, and they told me marital status for a post graduate work permit is not considered material information.

I was seeking advice because I did not let IRCC know that my wife and I became separated before my PGWP was approved. but to be fair, we began living apart but still maintained our relationship through visits, continued joint bills etc but once we realized that we would apart permanently for a while, i declared separated on my TRV.

and we used her move out date as the official date of separation on the TRV

We are together again and will file for spousal sponsorship soon.

Is this true? Although these attorneys, I still have great anxiety over this. will we get a PFL?

You can’t be common-law if you’re married unless you got divorced. Any inconsistency can raise concerns.

I meant to say together again. We did not file for divorce

The fact that you have a complex relationship history will likely create concerns especially if you are not able to qualify for PR on your own. Expect to have to prove why you were separated but did not split your finances for example. Also that you are not back together for immigration purposes.
