Biometric: updated from prev refusal.

Applied : 05th Nov
Biometrics given on 10th Nov and it was updated on the same day.

Applied 22 nov and boimetrics on 25th nov, got refusal on 26th nov

Applied again on 27th nov and got approval on 2 dec 2025

reason for refusal was, applicant wont return and purpose was inconsistent, I reapplied with all same docs just added cover letter regarding both previous refusal explanation to convince them

It was for my indian spouse, am Canadian and still have got AOR for our PR outland file

Hello there, I'm in the same situation.. I'm a permanent resident and I have my visitor visa application processing for my spouse.. I have a feeling that it might get rejected... Could you please let me know how you wrote a cover letter and the subject inside it which in turn convinced the case officer.

Also, when u reapplied did u apply for reconsideration or did u apply a new visitor visa application?

Biometric done-November 6
Status showing - submitted

Review of eligibility no started.
Application showing -in progress.
Background check is showing -in progress
And still waiting no more updates afterwards.

No , i just raised web form . I applied November 2nd.

Have you applied from India? If yes, the current processing time for visitor visa application from India is 114 days (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html). There's no need to raise webforms before that.

Yes , i know coz most of the ppl till oct 28 got pp requests. That’s why , I just asked. Due to some reason , I want visit back home if it’s taking more than a month.

Most who applied since October 28th haven’t received PP. There are some who qualify for faster processing lead by AI and don’t need a full manual review and those get processing faster. Until posted processing times have passed there is point contacting IRCC. Posted processing times are not guaranteed so can take even longer than that.
