I got an update today saying bg verification has been updated to in progress, anyone shine some light on what it could mean? On the tracker i had been seeing bgc in progress since Dec 2024

I got the same update as well. Based on what I read, it indicates comprehensive background check. The only way to know is by ordering GCMS notes. I do not know how long it will take to be completed.

I am an August 2023 inland family class applicant, and I have been in comprehensive security screening for since June 2024. Total silence since.
