background completed today after 2 years applied August 2023 stuck in background & prohib since Nov 2023

got 2nd fingerprint request today

Prohibitions are still not completed

Same happened to me , BG turned to green and received 2nd fingerprint request and now BG again inprogress .

You might get 2nd fingerprint request and BG will go back to in-progress is what my guess

what is difference between two.

Prohibitions encompasses everything that may prevent you from becoming a citizen, that includes security and criminality checks, language issues, knowledge issues, physical presence issues... In practice, it turns green when everything else does. Often at the same time as the last pending other item, but not always. It will do so soon. In the case of a July 2023 family member of mine, background turned green in October 2025 and prohibitions a month later, and then an oath date after another day. So, you're getting there, it probably will happen in December or January

Looks like there is some movement for Aug 2023 applicants. I received FP request today. This is the first FP request ever since I submitted my application. Not sure how many more days/months/years ??? Any idea anybody ?

August applicant AOR October 2023. I just received the ATIP Notes and location shows as 'Octroi Autorisations en cours' (English: Granting of authorizations in progress) anyone knows what does it mean? My file in which stage and how long I still have to wait?

This is what google says bro "In the context of a Canadian citizenship application, "granting of authorizations in progress" means that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is actively reviewing different sections of your application to ensure all requirements are met. This is a normal part of the processing stages. "
