Hi all :
I arrived in Canada on November 16, 2021. ( no stamp in my passport )
I applied for a Visitor Record in April 2021 and included the payment receipt. I never received any update on that application until after I got my Permanent Residence on September 26, 2022. Shortly after, IRCC emailed me saying the Visitor Record application was refused because it was no longer required once I became a PR.
For my citizenship application, IRCC is now saying they cannot confirm my physical presence in Canada before I became a Permanent Resident. I have already submitted a letter of explanation, including the date I applied for the Visitor Record and the payment proof.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
What other documents did you provide that helped IRCC confirm your physical presence?
I am planning to submit a full copy of my passport, which shows I have not left Canada since I arrived. If anyone has suggestions for additional documents that IRCC usually accepts, I would really appreciate your advice.
