They have a massive backlog of applications to focus on things like IP address after signing in.

So what you are saying is they can track IP addresses....I didn't actually say they are, but that they can. That was the original question. But thanks for extrapolating beyond what was asked.
Could also be an algorithm that does it for them.....darned technology.

That is absurd, they barely have enough time to read what is in the actual application.

I’ve noticed that IRCC can spot location inconsistencies when data parsing shows different IP addresses or login patterns from GCKey or other online services. If your GCKey shows you logging in from two countries within minutes, that might raise questions. They don’t need GPS for that, just simple data parsing of your digital activity leaves a trail that can suggest where you might be.
