Maybe just a system update IRCC sometimes sends another pre-arrival email automatically when your file is reviewed again. It usually means your application is still active and moving forward, so nothing to worry about. Is your application inland or Outland?

We can see her COPR number in the application tracker portal.

Can you estimate or tell from your experience how long it may take her to receive the Portal 1 ?
She entered into Canada on 25 May, 2025. Its almost 6 months. I have to apply to extend her visitor record/permit as 6 month duration is almost over.

Please let us know if you receive P1 recently. I think it is very soon, based on what I've seen from other posts, it shall be like a few days to two weeks to get P1 after Final Decision.

From P1 to P2, it takes another month.

I successfully linked my application to GCKey today using the family name and place of birth option. I still haven’t received an AOR. On GCKey, it shows that my application is being processed and that they will contact me if additional information is needed.
Hi, did you receive any updates post linking your application?

Hi all: in 117(9)(d), the sponsor previously made an application for permanent residence and became a permanent resident, and at the time of that application, the foreign national was a non-accompanying family member of the sponsor and was not examined.
Who would like to explain the "at the time of that application"? Does it mean the time of my first application for permanent residence?

. Background

I submitted my immigration application to Canada in 2009 and was issued my visa in October 2010.
My biological son was born out of wedlock. He was born in January 2011,
while I had booked my flight a year in advance, which was scheduled for February 2011.

Considering that my son was a newborn baby who urgently needed his mother’s care, and given the various constraints at the time,
The only choice available to me was to land in Canada first and, once I had arranged everything and all conditions were ready,
Submit a family sponsorship immigration application for him so that I can bring him to Canada.

Because of my lack of understanding of Canada’s immigration procedures, I failed to declare my newborn's information promptly before landing,

As a result, my son was denied a visa by a visa officer under IRPR 117(9)(d), even though he had already received and completed the medical examination and biometrics required by IRCC.

The visa officer considers: the sponsor(me) did not declare my newborn's information before my first landing.

You are correctly refused. You should have landed before your child was born. (may be a soft landing and return for the child birth)

Now you cannot sponsor him under normal family class sponsorship. May be a lawyer can help you to convince IRCC that they can allow you to sponsor him with compassion to the situation.
