I don't know I can be counted as "received oath invite" because I haven't received official email for that. But I checked my Tracker today (changed date on my mobile phone) and it says Oath scheduled for Dec 15. I'm in Burnaby. AOR 24 June, LPP 09 Oct

I just told them that I am travelling out of country on 13th December and this trip is planned well in advance back in June 2025. Also, attached my Itenary so that they have visibility/proof. Even checked date change options for my flight. I had to pay extra $1000 fare difference plus date change charges. Just explain as much as you can.

I checked with my friends. They always suggest you to wait 48 hours before applying for passport (this is what my friends told me). I will have only one day and I need to apply e-visa to India. This is all too much tight deadlines and is stressful. I can still travle with India passport but there is no way for me to get back into Canada.

Just curious. Have you heard back from IRCC other than the autogenerated email on your request? Not sure if there is a standard time for their response/acknowledgement.

Great hack! I changed my system date to Nov 09 and see that have been scheduled for the 15th as well for Citizenship oath!

I am considering asking the IRCC staff at the oath ceremony whether it might be possible to receive a printed citizenship certificate on the spot... not sure if they would accommodate this request, but I am traveling two weeks after the ceremony and will need to apply for my passport as soon as possible .. hence the urgency in getting the certificate fast.
