Left-wing governments often depend on undocumented people to keep the economy running that way they like and to benefit big corporations like Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, and Amazon. It’s the same all over the world — they prefer a constant flow of low-income workers. They keep accepting new people from outside Canada, while those who have already been living here for years don’t seem to matter

Unfortunately, you are right. Left-wing governments tend to act this way. After so many years in Canada, and now 30 months since I applied for H&C in Ontario, if I don’t receive AIP by summer 2026, I’m done with Canada.
I will sell my house, my business, my cars, collect my money, and go back home to finally enjoy my life.
At this moment, I feel like a prisoner in Canada — life is passing by, and I’m stuck. It’s not fair.

Going back to my home country isn’t even an option for me, especially now...I don't have another choice

Every time I read the new IRCC updates, or anything the government announces about immigration, it immediately makes me think of a song by a French-Egyptian artist named Dalida. Numbers didn't decrease in the new immigration level plan,infact the total pr target is higher in 2026 and 2027 than 2025 although some programs was cut while 2026 target is 380k it exceeded 395k target of 2025 for PR outside quebec (quebec skill worker and business is TBD)in immigration level plan it may added in the future and with public policies introduced for 2026 and 2027 that number has increased PR target the following years.
Canada slashed temporary residents admissions for study permit and work permits in 2026 by half for new intake,305k study permit down to 155k, however more study permit holders and work permit holders will enter canada as temporary residents from 2026 and ongoing,due to new policies on study permit cap by IRCC to compensate for cuts on temporary foreign workers and increase TRs in Canada.
