Hi all,

We lost our CoPR documents and have no copies or photos. While filling out the Verification of Status (VoS) application under Part B, I need help with:
  1. Date of Issue: Can I use the immigration visa issue date from our passport stamps since we don’t know the exact CoPR issuance dates, or should we put our first landing date in Canada as Permanent Residents (the difference is around 2.5 months from the date of CoPR issuance to the date of landing) or passport issuance date?
  2. Place of Issue: CoPRs were issued abroad in our home country, but we landed at Pearson Airport. Should I enter the visa office abroad or Pearson as the place of issue?
  3. Police Report: Is it mandatory to submit a police report for lost CoPRs, or is a written explanation in the form enough?
Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Hi,

I just checked this thread today and found your question. Although this was in July you might have figured it out.

I did my VOS application recently and I referred the application instruction for filling the form. I hope you have got your COPR.

In my case I never received COPR as I got PR in covid time. I sent an application on Sept 30 and waiting for the response.

Hey,
I am in the same situation I did not get my COPR as well in covid time. I have to apply for renewal of my indian passport which requires this. I applied for my COPR on September 10th even though the website says processing time of 6 weeks, I have not gotten it. Any suggestions please as I have to travel to India urgently?
