PR CARD RENEWAL SUBMITTED OCTOBER 2025

What is the reason you have provided for the urgency while applying ? Mine is not family emergency or any other category listed in their dropdown list, except that I booked my flights for 16-DEC-2025. You response will be helpful for me to resubmit my regular application with urgency.

I need to accompany my mom going back to our home country. She's a senior citizen and needs assistance. When did you apply?

I applied on 7-OCT-2025 and my PR card expiring on 31-OCT-2025 but my travel date is 16-DEC-2025 with my kids. For both my spouse and myself PR Card expiring as my kids are Canadian citizens they are okay I submitted the online form to request urgent processing but not positive response from IRCC. . Not sure what to do.

Its very generic reply from Agent. Basically they are asking to submit PRTD or urgency application. Here is the response.

Ah Okay. When I submitted my application I already include the request for urgency. So I didn't received any email from them

They respond usually, in my case, got response in couple of hours.

Sept 24 - applied for renewal
Oct 20 - requested urgency - death in the fam. Urgency application was accepted the same day.

No change in status. GC shows they are reviewing eligibility....blah blah. Although a guy who applied for PR a week before mine, got his card, tells me my case should be very close.

My travel is slated for Nov end.

I am trying to reach IRCC contact center (1-888-242-2100) to talk to an agent for checking the status of my application. I don't have the application number. Also I am not get a chance to get into the queue itself. Any recommendation on when is the best time to reach the contact center and any specific option I need to select ? Thanks in advance for your guidance.

1. Call 1888 242 2100
2. ⁠wait for the automated message and select option 1 to enter UCI # followed by 1 to confirm
3. ⁠After this press this number continually to get to agent: 3>2>2>0 (you don’t have to hear or wait, just type the numbers)
4. ⁠You will be added to wait line or request a call back if you don’t want to wait.

Final decision - October 29, 2025:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I am sure the system will not allow to submit the application without completing declaration session. The only thing I can see is I mentioned that date as 6-OCT-2025 and the application submitted on 7-OCT-2025.
