Hey,
I got my P1 on October17 and i replied to it stating that i am present in Canada. But i am planning to travel US this weekend for few days.
Is it okay for me to travel outside Canada while waiting for P2. or Can i come back and reply to P2 mail.
I am really confused on what to do, whether i should inform IRCC about this or not?

Thanks in advance for your help

You can travel. When you get P2, you get time to respond, sometimes it is 3, sometimes it is 7 days or more. Even if they give you a single day, coming back in a day isn't too hard from the US. What's there to worry? It makes no sense to inform IRCC as your travel is only of a few days, not even a week.

Thanks for your reply. I already mentioned i am present in Canada in the P1 mail, I'm worried if travelling after p1 might delay the PR process .

I'm not sure what's there to worry about here. The only reason we inform IRCC is when there's a considerable travel duration/change of nation as that materially impacts the application. If you can be back in time to respond to P2, nothing to worry here. As you said, the travel is just of a few days.
