I just got another update today 04 Sep-2025
says prohibitions completed as of 02-Sep-2025

How long does you think it take to get oath email after this?
Should be soon as it has already been more than 2 years

Don't want to guess but prohibitions is the biggest difficult step.

Can't say. Some seems to get the oath invite right away and some have to wait. May be depends on the location/province, but not sure.

Hope we get it soon. Which province r u residing?

Well, I disagree on that, but I admit I was referring to background + prohibitions as they're related.

Congrats. I think Ontario usually schedule quicker. SK (I'm from) and MB are probably the slowest.

I don’t recommend Mandamus, try contacting your Local MP first. I contacted my Local MP then few weeks after I got my BG complete.

Well, it all depends on where is application. For Ex. within "Background Check" if the application has gone to CSIS (randomly, based on your luck), then neither local MP, nor Mandamus can do much......

Finally crossed the line.
Did my oath yesterday.

Hello, My wife's citizenship application has been pending for more that one year. She completed her Citizenship Test on Oct-16-2023, which was marked completed in the system on Oct-27-2023. But since then it has been pending with CBSA for security check. Is there any way to nudge somebody to act on it?
Have requested GCMS notes two times (7 months interval) but not much progress except one periodic review of the file in August-2024.
We reached out to local MP office but they couldn't get anything more than the same update.

Anybody faced this situation? would love to hear how you approached it except 'wait and watch'?

Finally, my wife's application got a few updates. Background got completed on 8-Oct, Prohibition on 10-Oct. Now waiting Oath Invite in Ontario..
