Exactly, finally someone talking with facts instead of recycled guesses. January is basically done, and most February applicants too. That’s what we’ve been saying all along the processing for those months is already wrapped up. So when someone has cleared every stage and is still waiting, it’s not “normal,” it’s just a stuck file that needs attention.

Let’s be real whoever was fully passed in January or February has already received PR. So if March or April files are hanging, that’s where the real issue is. Saying “everyone’s waiting” just isn’t true anymore.

But of course, some people here ( Canuck78) love to talk like they have insider access to IRCC. He’s been on this forum forever, long after getting his own PR, and still finds time to lecture others with half baked “facts.” If only he used that energy for something useful.

Anyway, thanks to members actually sharing timelines and real data you’re the ones helping people, not confusing them. It’s good to see real info cutting through the noise.

Thanks For your accurate message.
I'm waiting for PR since August 2023. I was thinking by this time I would have it. But not. And not idea when it Will happen. I Will travel soon, try to meet my family in third country cause looks like I Will wait more time. That helps with mental health, meeting your beloved ones.
Just be aware that if are close to decission or between NOD and ECOPR maybe you have to wait before to travel. Good luck to everyone and keep strong and focused!

I was thinking to travel after I receive PR. But instead I took risk to travel in March 2025. I applied in February 2023, The processing time was 22 months at that time. I thought I will receive PR in the beginning of 2025 but had nothing after AOR until March 2025. I received eligibility and pre-arrival in June 2025 after my trip. Meaning our travelling won’t make any difference to our progress on the application. I understand everyone’s stress, I’m going through it as well. But give yourself some break. Meet your family in a third country so that you can peacefully get through 2 years of citizenship process after PR. As long as your file says under processing it means they are working on it. There’s nothing wrong with it.

Totally agree!! Go ahead and do that! We just returned from traveling and meeting with our kids in Costa Rica. It fueled our hearts as we continued to wait... We chose that country because its process for a visitor's visa for Canadian refugees was fast and inexpensive.

I’m also in August 2023. It’s been a long journey, but we’re getting closer to the end. All the stress and frustration that’s affected our personal and professional lives and relationships will soon be over. I understand that it’s unfair that some people attended their citizenship ceremony 3.5 years after applying to be a protected person, while others must wait up to 5 years to receive the FD. We’re all in this together, and hopefully, we’ll receive some good news by the end of this year.

I’m sure they will speed up the process by the end of this year to finalize this year’s quota. Right now they’re moving slow.
Not likely, going forward towards end of year means we enter the holiday season, most IRCC employees will take vacations, they are lazy as it is and now holiday season coming they wouldn't process applications any better. After new year when they come back to work all they do is talk about where they went for a couple weeks, then they will start working on files slowly again. And with current Canada Post strikes, the delivery of any mail is almost impossible until after new year. I have been waiting for my PR card for a month now, I'm sure I will be waiting for another few months just to get a simple stupid card they could easily print and ship it before the strike.

IRCC sucks badly.

Now it’s seems like hard for April or even March to get PR this year.

It's amazing how slow they work. I wonder what do they do during the day in those Offices? Because there is an entire Section working just For refugee and dependants files.
