Looks like it’s going to be an online ceremony that will be hosted by Niagara Falls office. Oakville, London/Kitchner, Halton area comes under NGF office.

Is there any chance to switch to an e-certificate instead of a paper certificate before the oath? Canada Post is on strike and is not delivering any mail.

Mostly based on my observation from Canadavisa forums from last year. I have been on these threads from last year for my application as well as my spouse’s application.
Mostly areas from Oakville/Kitchener until Niagara Falls go to NGF office for at least test invitations after they are processed by the Sydney office. Then, either NGF processes the application completely or they move it to other offices like Vancouver or Prairies or anywhere, citing “workload balance”. The final oath invitation can come from any office. If you get your GCMS notes, it will clearly tell you the oath office details.

Hey, same here. My background was cleared in june. Afterwards i got presence and language cleared in july. Been 2 and half months now stuck in prohibitions and i cannot figure out why. I have lived elsewhere during the fist year of my eligibility period and provided police certificate, so i can only think of this as reason or possibly because i had travelled extensively. Not sure if you have similar situation?

Hey, I have lived in Canada for the entire eligibility period, though I have traveled a few times. I am not sure if that’s the reason, but I’ve heard that once your background check is approved, they have all the records and documents needed about you.

I finally got scheduled for oath ceremony. I received LPP update on Sept 26 got a ghost update on Sept 27 and then saw on the tracker today that I’ve been scheduled for the ceremony on Oct 20

In Oath ceremony IRCC controller will ask that how would you like to receive the citizencertificate paper base or digital tell him you want digital format

Personally I don't see many benefits to the paper cert unless you wish to frame it, asides from this there isn't a lot IMO.
Paper takes 2-4 weeks to receive.
E-Cert takes 5 days takes to receive.

I assume the paper option is on a nicer bit of a card. If you wish to frame this, that is probably your better option?
E-cert is a document, you print it yourself. So if you are framing this, it won't be as appealing.
You need the certificate either way to apply for your passport. So keep that in mind with the processing times.

You can print it on a special paper and frame will give you almost same apearance
