Study permit refusal

I had applied for study permit in August 2025 and got biometric fees payment letter on 17th September. Although, i have active biometric due to valid visitor visa. I still paid the fees and then got refusal on 23 sept with only citing the reason as “
the purpose of your visit is not consistent with a temporary stay” and no other reason mentioned.

I am MBA in HR with 10years of work experience with leading companies. I had applied for MBA in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning showing my career progression with current AI needs as well as linking to my previous bachelors degree as well whereby i had done Bsc Non medical. My whole immediate family lives in india so even have strong ties as reason to return. Have enough funds under my name apart from paying my gic and tuition fee for first year. I didnt quite understand the reason for refusal. I want to appeal for reconsideration - do u think it will work out? Or should i reapply with some tweaks in my SOP. Need guidance

You have a MBA with 10 years experience so no reason to come to Canada to take another MBA. This makes no sense. Also your family ties are spouse and children if over 22. If you are single then no family ties to return. Is this a top public school or a private one?

You need to justify costs by showing that you will make that much more money when you return to India. And show career advancement. You cannot show education advancement.

Up to you to ask for reconsideration but would be surprised if file is reopened.

This is university and i did mention about my career advancement with AI driven industry changes and how it will lead to add into my future growth. Anyways, thanks for your reply.

You need to revisit it, give more grounds and be more persuasive. So far it doesn't sound credible, let alone for a visa officer.
