I'm a protected person I'm still waiting for my pr since processing in quebec is too slow ...it's been 3 years since i applied for pr....i want to move to alberta hopefully that speeed up my pr application process
It will help but how much is tough to say. Depends on where in the process you are and how IRCC puts you in the queue. Processing times have been increasing for protected people outside of Quebec as well. It is a pure math issue. Way too many people waited for the allocated PR capacity. Assume you have secured employment and housing. In many ways Quebec has been doing better economically and has a lower cost of living in many parts. Given the economy would only move if you have equally good job and housing security in Alberta. If you have children also access to childcare and you’ve factored in the cost into your budget.
