Hello, anyone applied for asylum in 2024 or late 2023 and got a hearing. Please tell me the timeline

hi, not myself but I know someone who applied in Nov 11 2023 and got NOD without a hearing early April 2025.

My dad applied for December 2023 and and no update after he got his work permit in January 2024. He also needed to sunmit his detailed cv for some reason in June-July 2025, other than that No update.

Is there any chance of getting new update? Any input?

I am curious why IRB requests detailed CV. I think this is uncommon request for asylum claims.

Likely from a few select countries where there are extra security concerns and where there have been unfriendly governments. Likely looking for military, police and government work.
