Hi everyone, I’m a bit confused about how the signatures should be handled on the forms. My mom’s name on her passport includes both Chinese characters and letters. In letters, her name is written as
Family name + “, ” + Given name, e.g.,
“Lee, Yun”.
- On IMM 1344 (Principal Applicant signature) & final Declaration – it is typed as “Lee, Yun” (like the passport).
- On IMM 5476 (Use of Representative) – she e-signed using her traditional Chinese characters (similar to a handwritten signature).
- On IMM 5768 (Financial Evaluation) – I, as the sponsor, e-signed with my own handwritten-style signature.
Does this look correct?
Also, in the Letter of Explanations, I referred to my mom as
“Yun Lee”. Would that cause an issue, or should I make sure her name appears exactly as it does on the passport everywhere?
Thanks so much!
