I'm currently exploring opportunities to move (back) to Canada and am especially interested in Government of Canada Jobs—whether federal, provincial, or municipal. I know some positions are open to international applicants or those with PR, but it’s hard to find everything in one place.

I recently came across a site that lists verified openings across departments: governmentofcanadajobs.com — has anyone here used it? It seems to compile listings from multiple sources.

Also, if anyone has tips on how to get into the federal stream (like IRCC, CBSA, etc.), or how competitive those roles are for newcomers, I’d appreciate the insight!

I am a protected person currently waiting for my permanent residency. I’m considering applying for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) for my mother so she can visit me for the birth of my baby next month.

I've read through several forums and found mixed opinions about the chances of approval, especially given my status as an asylum claimant. I’m wondering if anyone in a similar situation has successfully brought their parents on a TRV recently.

What are the chances of approval in my case? I’m hesitant to apply if the likelihood of refusal is very high.
