Unfortunate but expected. I was hoping get AIP before this.

Processing times had already increased. The posted processing times are backward looking. Good chance actual processing times are longer today. Also not a guaranteed timeline.

Processing time doesn’t really matter for me anymore because they consider my application as a non routine.

Oct 30 2020, receipt of application.
March 31 2021, started processing application.
April 10 2025, AIP letter received.
May 01 2025, medical instructions sent.
May 09 2025, medical results received.
August 12 2025, COPR letter received.
September 02 2025 Portal 2: already had a PR portal created. Just need to confirm address in Canada and submit digital photo. SO CLOSE NOW!

I just thought of something - why are police clearance certificates needed in the first stage of a H&C application if the first stage can take up to 2 years to process? What if the applicant commits an offence during those 2 years (after they submit the H&C application)? Wouldn't it make sense to only ask for the police clearance certificates at the second stage? (given that that is the most recent stage)?
