How do you know if they are planning a personal or virtual Oath for you?

or it is just a guess because of the delays?

IRCC told me. I called them last week because I was concerned I might have missed my Oath, they said your file is marked as in person, and the delay is in scheduling. They also specified that in person ceremony scheduling takes longer.

So as some of you may know I was invited to the 'Citizenship to Passport' pilot program. I became a citizen on August 19, but was able to submit my passport application a week (or so) early. This program is not offered as a rush service at all. Rather, it allows you to start the application process once your citizenship application has been approved (and before your oath ceremony).

Today, quite unexpectedly, I got my shiny new Canadian passport in the mail. Almost makes me wish I had international travel plans soon...

It's quite a thing to hold that Canadian passport with your own photo in it. Hope all you remaining March applicants get wrapped up quickly!

Today I got email from CIC for my parents that how to download the Citizenship Electronic Certificates. Email came from Registrar of Canadian Citizenship. Anyone know this email is regular / routine to send this before oath scheduling ?

No Email or scheduled done for Oath and no change on Tracker - Still same Status - In Progress -

Finally, logged in today and got some updates for my application! Vancouver office is working
LPP got completed on August, 29 with the update being shown on the tracker from September, 2.
Got invited to take the Oath on October, 7: no official email though and it's just update on the tracker.

I wish Everyone to have their Citizenship Application completed and approved!
Will post here as soon as I get any Oath instructions email.

Update: got in-person Oath invite email today. It came from WST-CitizenshipClient-Notification@cic.gc.ca
It looks like it's happening and the waiting game comes to an end!

This is exactly what happened to me. In fact, I got this email with only my BG showing as completed. You'll get your oath ceremony invite soon. Your application has been approved. Congratulations!

Hey, I’m in the same boat. I received the instructions on how to download the certificate, but I haven’t received the invitation yet. I’ll let you know as soon as I do.

Got another tracker update this morning. "Congratulations! You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on September 29, 2025.Follow the instructions you will receive in your ceremony invitation."

Still no email about the details, but that's nothing to worry about. I requested an in-person ceremony so I'm assuming that's what it will be.

I am in the same boat. I am in Oakville and waiting for oath since 24-June. LPP updated on 20-June and updated on 24-June. Family application. Ialso called them and was informed that the application is with ceremony team for scheduling in person oath.

My last update was on August 13 in the tracker, which shows LPP completed on July 22. But oath is still "not started".
I’m not sure how long it takes to get the oath date. It seems that for many people, they receive it a few days after the LPP is completed, but for others, it takes longer depending on the city
