Hi. No, not yet. The only progress is my husband's JR leave had been granted and is set for a hearing in the court on 3rd July. We haven't received any settlement from IRCC. Ircc couldn't provide any negative feedback in his GCMS either.
I had received ADR lately for my PR application where my husband is also accompanying from outside Canada. This is the 3rd ADR where ircc asked for my educational documents. I don't know if there is any relation to the JR process of my husband's application and our PR application. My application was stuck for 7 months. Last time ircc asked for employment documents as 2nd ADR in October 2024. After that my PR application was never moved. Recently, leave was granted for the JR and my PR application started to move at the same time. So, I really don't know what's going on. All I know is IRCC is dragging our applications for no reason!

Its only natural that, now IRCC will be extra cautious while dealing with such cases where the applicant has obvious military connection - specially after the recent incident in Vancouver where a Canadian Citizen was murdered allegedly by someone connected to the military in question. After this incident, nobody will dare to implicate themselves with such applicants, neither Canadian PM, CSiS chief nor the military chief.

What is surprising here is your application is being processed for 5 years, the timeline spans beyond all of these recent incidents. And one also has to wonder that if their application is almost put in a freezer, they have gone to the court and even court told them to keep waiting....why are they still pursuing it?
(though its not digestible - Mandamus is by definition for such applications, where CIC did not process it, specially if the application was in background check for ages and total time passed is multiple times of the average case processing timeline).....

5 years is a long time - and most immigrants will pursue other options - US, UK, Australia, Germany...............Or at the very least discuss their case with a lawyer instead of this forum.

Something doesn't add up here. But anyways, good luck with your pursuit.

Hi. My husband was asked to fill up the same IMM form last year in October. After 1 year and 20 days IRCC has given him another form attached to the email to be filled up and submitted by 15 days. This new form is not an IMM form, rather it was attached to the email. IRCC never asked for a certified IMM 5546 form. Thanks. May I know your application date please?
Hi, i received exactly like your husband adr 5546 that is attached and ask to be submitted 15 days last August 20, 2025 I’m waiting for their response.

Well, my husband never received any updates after he was requested for IMM 5546 in October 2023. For this reason, in September 2024, we decided to go for judicial review. My husband won the case and his open work permit was approved on july 1, 2025.

Maybe application will be going that path too because we have the exactly the same adr maybe mine is much more complicated cause of my AWOL and i have 3 dependents
