Hi Guys,

Can anyone help me with this info

I want to apply for Citizenship for me and my wife.

I got my PR via express entry in 2019 and then I took IELTS in 2017. My wife got her PR via spousal application .

For Citizenship proof for my wife, can I upload her bachelor’s degree certificate from India, and she is working in IT for last 10 years both in India and also in Canada combined, any of this would help for language? Did anyone did this personally and worked?

For myself, I don’t know how I can retrieve my IELTS results from 2017?

Any info would be helpful

Thanks

Quick question guys: Does the AOR look like a pdf file sent by email with your address, UCI and an application number on the top right corner?

Subject: APPLICATION FOR CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP

This is to acknowledge receipt of your application for Canadian Citizenship. We will review your
application and supporting documents and will contact you if additional information is required. etc etc.

This is followed by a blurb on the knowledge test and then the address of the Sydney processing center. The actual application does not state that an AOR has been sent/received.

thanks for your help team
Cheers!

It is. Congratulations!

What's your timeline?

Hi guys, I have applied for citizenship and yet to receive AOR.

I have family emergency back home and might have to visit for month or so.

1) Can I take citizenship test outside Canada and does it affect application in any way?

2) Do I need to inform IRCC that I am taking test outside canada?

3) Does staying outside canada impact the citizenship application in any way? like marking it as a non-routine and subject to extended scrutiny?

I sent in my application on July 7, 2025. The AOR, at least that's what I'm assuming it was, came in this morning.
August 26, 2025. Btw, the tracker seems really hard to start... Wont let me register. Do other members here have the same problems?
I am still waiting for AOR. As per what I have read in these threads. It can take all from a couple of days to a week to activate. Also resetting password let's you in at times.

I hope you get your AOR soon. I think IRCC works hard to maintain their timelines, and i would give them a wide berth to do their job well. For the 20 odd years I've lived in this country, I've found them to be quite reliable and professional.

On the topic of the tracker, it somehow wont recognise that I'm an applicant, and wants me to upload a 3rd party form, when i don't have a 3rd party : )
