I was rejected in my self-employment case on January 18, 2024
so I filed a case( JR) in court and after getting a settlement offer 4 months later the application was reopened by another officer....
submitted the requested additional documents
and after that it has been about 6 months since I heard from them again....
I hope that by the time you are reading this, your application has been approved.

They reopened the case by themselves only, or you raised a web form for this after getting settlement.

Hi,
When the settlement offer is accepted, the case is assigned to another officer and reopened by her/him, and there is no need to submit a web form for this.
I've heard that the reopening and re-processing will take at least more than a year.
The best thing to do is be patient.I think......

Okey! Can you provide info more clearly, case refused in jan 2025, went for JR in march, got settlement offer in may. And after waiting 3 months i raised webform request to reopen my case. Please let me know, how much more time i have to wait to reopen my case. And after reopening, how much time it will take more to asses by a different officer Till decision.

Don't worry
The case will be transferred to the new officer very quickly
But it may take a while for him/her to review it
and if additional documents are needed
Youll receice a request for additional documents soon
It depends on your case and what objections the previous officer had against you
In my case I received a request for additional documents after about 4 months and it has been a little over a year since I submitted them but I have not received any updates till now.
It may take 1.5 -2 year after sattlement offer, my lawyer says.
