The forums has gone quite for sometime now. So writing here, just to vent out.

It has become quite frustrating that even after 6 weeks of sponsorship eligibility, I have not received the Medical request. It has been 3 months already, don't think my application will be processed within the 5 months' timeline.

Your situation is understandable.
Did you try raising a web form?

Yes. I raised. Got a standard template reply- that if the application is within processing time, then IRCC wont respond.

I see... yeah, had got the same too, but still worth a try since that may be the only option available at this stage.
If it does go beyond the stated processing time, you could try reaching your MP and see if that helps to move it along.
All the best.

Yes. At this point - don't think there's anything I can do except wait patiently. Hopefully will receive some update in next 2 weeks. Thank you.

Hi,
Did you apply it by yourself? Could you please share steps or any helpful links to apply for child sponsorship?

My daughter is born in India, and we are planning to travel to Canada soon.
Also, Is it possible to apply for visitor visa as well when the application is in progress? So that in case if PR takes time then they can travel using visitor visa.

Thanks!
Hi, please share details of documents that you attached with file to support financially column. I am also going to apply in a month. Also please share timeline
