What do I have to do if I get promoted to a different job position while I have applied under the ONIP international student stream? Right now, the status of application is decision in progress.

This is my timeline as of now. It has been more than 8.5 months since i submitted my application:

EOI (Expression of Interest) - January 16th, 2024
Invitation Received: March 12, 2024 (General draw for Employer Job Offer – International Student stream)
Application Submitted: March 26, 2024
Assessment Stage: July 03, 2024.
DIP Stage: Moved to the DIP stage between July 10th and July 15th, 2024
July 22, 2024 : Updated Address and my Pay rate via Web form (as it went up to $28 from $22) : As OINP tells to update the address on file as soon as you do so I did the same. In addition to that, I didn't see any issues in declaring a higher income as it doesnt impact my OINP score negatively, instead it would have gone up only.
October 08th : status changed to "Additional processing time needed"

I got my salary incremented yesterday. Do we have to provide any letter from employer that the salary has been increased or just attach the pay slip?

Mine doesnt even say DIP. It says "additional processing time needed" and its been more than 8 months since it have been saying that.
My work permit is expiring on August 26, 2025 and i am so worried,

I am fed up at this stage. My work permit is expiring i a month and these guys have taken more than 15 months and still haven't issued me a nomination.
They don't even give proper explanation.

Hello,

I had already completed my biometric on 24 of May. I got married and notify IRCC by webform, still no reply or any change in application. I call IRCC and they told me to submit some documents upfront to make it easy for officer. The form is complicated to understand when it comes to fill for principal applicant or as a spouse point of view. Please guide.

Hey Hinu,

OINP recently introduced a new way to file your expression for this stream. Your employer would have to make an account with OINP and once their account is up and running, they can file an expression on behalf of you.

Then when when the next draw comes, if you fulfill the requirements and the cut-off you will be invited to submit the documents and your PNP Application.
