I went for university studies

2023 sep -2025 sep

I got my visa till April 2025 due to my passport expiry

I have applied for my study permit extension from in Canada on Jan 11 2025 after getting my new passport

I got my completion letter on may 15th

I applied my PGWP with out valid study permit on June 9th 2025

And my father had heart stroke which I got call on June 21 and travelling to India on Jun 26th

After coming here I got my extension sir July 17th approved till October 8
But I can’t go back as my TRV is invalid

I withdrew my first application on July 15th after applying on July 14th for fresh PGWP with valid study permit ,outside Canada

I haven’t received any update on my withdrawal and I am worried as it doesn’t create two permit at the same time scenario please help !

So you withdrew your original PGWP application after applying for the second. Why would you not withdraw the first one, wait for response, and then reapply. A withdrawal is not instant so you wait for response. Nothing to do now. Can take a few weeks for acknowledgment and then additional weeks for withdrawal.

To apply my PGWP ,as I didn’t have a valid status -study permit when I applied my initial PGWP !

Now the waiting time is 6 weekss in general

I am just worried as both are open !

It doesn't matter anymore since you left Canada. Outside Canada you have up to 180 days to apply. You now have withdrawn your inland PGWP so wait for official withdrawal notice. And you wait for outland PGWP approval. Nothing you can do now.
