We just want to ensure she doesn't get into deep trouble if she works and isn't allowed to, hence she stopped working last week. With the letter that came yesterday(March 17,2025) she called her school immigration advisor and they said seems she should be able to work based on content of the letter.

If program completion was December 14 then her permit expired on March 14 so lost status. But if school immigration advisor says she can work then you have to trust that person or get another opinion.

Hi, checking on anyone who recently (2025) submitted a restoration of status application, any update?

My husband's SOWP got refused due to lacking of employment letter. And he left Canada and went back to South Korea to re-apply for the SOWP.He did it on Nov. 5th. Still didn't get any updates. The processing time for South Korea said 4 weeks last November , and now said 14 weeks. Either way, he has passed way longer than that. Any body has an idea ?

Hello everyone,
I submitted my application to restore my status on October 16, 2024, and I'm still waiting to hear back from IRCC. I checked their website, and their processing times are 120 days. I wonder if anyone knows how to proceed if this lasts over 120 days. Can I reach out to anybody? Or do I need to stay put and wait?

Checking for my younger sis. Her PGWP application was submitted in January 2025 and was rejected on March 10, 2025 due to not uploading her IELTS result. Her temporary status was then revoked eff March 10, 2025 and she was told to apply for restoration within 90days. She applied for the work permit and restoration again on March 13, 2025 and stopped working since her application was denied. As of today March 17, 2025, she received a letter from IRCC stating they recieved her application and she should attach this letter to her study permit and use it as as a proof to any employer that she is authorized to work until Sept 2025 or until a decision is made on her application. Worried as I'm not certain if this is how it goes for PGWP and restoration applications that are combined.
Any insights from anyone who has experienced this?

Hi. I'm in the same situation and applied for restoration of status and get PGWP on Jul 10th. But I don't have the letter stating that I could work like your sister did. May I know if your sister has her official PGWP approved yet?

If restoring status then cannot work until PGWP is approved.
