Hi All,

I just have one question based on documents required on the CEC portal when applying with an unaccompanying Canadian Spouse.

It asks for "Family member Proof of status" under my spouses section and I was told by a lawyer to include MY passport and work permit. Not entirely sure what the rationale is here so just wanted to double check to see if that makes sense!

Originally I had her passport uploaded.

Thank you!

Makes no sense to upload your passport. Get a better lawyer. You should upload your spouse proof of status in Canada ie. Passport, pr card etc

I was thinking the same. She is a Canadian citizen though, and I have demonstrated this multiple times in the document submission. Just clearly awkward.
