Hi All, My wife is the sponsor living in Canada and we submitted our outland spousal sponsorship application in mid-January 2025. Recently, IRCC requested police clearance certificates from both of us as additional documents.
My question is: does my wife need to provide a police clearance from her home country as well, or will a Canadian police clearance be sufficient? She left her home country 3.5 years ago and only returned once for about 20 days during that time.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have never heard of IRCC requesting PCC for the sponsor.

Are you sure that was the request?

Since your wife is the sponsor, she is NOT your dependent in the application. You are the principle applicant and she is the sponsor.
