Just did my virtual oath! Everything went smoothly. Took about 1 hour and 15 minutes from me joining the Zoom link to the end.

I waited about 15-20 minutes before I was admitted into the call. Definitely teared up as I sang the national anthem for the first time as a Canadian citizen. Can't wait to get the final piece—the Canadian passport—in my hands!

Best of luck to those who are still in the process—hang tight! Your turn will come :)

Congrats! I also completed my virtual ceremony today.

One thing I noted was that, I was not asked if I wanted e-cert or paper. It seemed they were only administering e-cert, was that your impression too?

Also, just emailed them my oath form, and I have yet to receive any confirmation email. I heard there's automated email response, did you get any?

Congrats to you too, my fellow Canuck!

I was asked if I wanted e certificate or paper. I suspect some IRCC officers just omitted/forgot to ask.

I didn't get an automated reply either, but since the email address we sent the oath form to is the local office specifically for oath ceremonies (as opposed to a more general one), I'm not too worried about not getting an automated reply.

The IRCC clerk told us in the ceremony that the email instruction to download the e certificate will arrive in 24 hours, and the certificate itself will be ready within 5 business days. So, more waiting!

My Canadian immigration journey has now finally concluded! Going to apply for my Canadian passport this week =D

A little throwback to 2013 when I was still in my home country, making my first post in this forum asking about cost of living in Toronto before flying to Canada: Cost of living in Toronto. What a journey it had been.
