Hello, I'm sponsoring my dependant child for PR (I am a permenant resident of Canada myself, my wife isn't a PR). I wanted to fill form IMM 5406 and the principal applicant here is my dependant child.

In this form there are segments to fill out information about the principal applican't parents (I.E me and my wife).

However, the instructions on the page say that:

"You (the principal applicant) must fill out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents."

Does this mean that I leave the Father section blank? because I'm the father and I'm a permenant resident of Canada? or do I fill it out?

Please help, I'm confused.

You fill this form out as if you were the child. Of course that includes info about the father (you).
