Dear Hali,Hi abufaris76,
As my experience, your application is going forward very smoothly !
I assume that you may get the golden email in a couple of months.
By the way, could you let me know when you ordered the GCMS notes and please advise if the ordered GCMS was only for you or for the whole your family; How long you could get the GCMS notes after ordering? Since I've ordered the GCMS notes for my whole family since the 2nd June, 2025 but so far I haven't got it yet. I asked my representative and she told me it may take 2-3 months
Please let me know
All the best to you
Cheers
Hali

Yes, this data is a bit confusing.Hi, Thank you for sharing the link.
I have gone through this and came across the most interesting stats as follows:
-------------------------------------------------
Backlog Origins and Processing History
Nearly six out of every ten applicants are still in the eligibility evaluation stage – a major contributor to the program’s backlog. However, applications submitted during the pandemic years (2021–2023) form a major part of this backlog:
------------------------------------------------
- 2021: 7,706 applications submitted
- 2022: 9,748 applications submitted
- 2023: 5,298 applications submitted
- I Couldn't understand eligibility evaluation stage. What I have inferred is that 6 out of 10 applications even doesn't got AOR yet after submission.
- Secondly, as per the number of applications inventory (18514), on an average if we consider 3 founders with each Startup and average 3 family members of each founder then total Startups will come around approx. 2050.
- Please correct me if anyone has any inputs to share regarding this.
Great insight, So it's a Big Black Box. Non Priority applications have no chance in near future. But let's be hopeful and be patient, the only solution I can see from here on is increment in the annual Quota which is highly unlikely.Yes, this data is a bit confusing.
- Eligible applicants should be those who have received their pre-arrival letters (PALs). That's crazy that there are ~8,000 PAL holders who haven't received their PRs yet. The major spike in the PAL inventory (from ~2,000 to ~8000) happened during 2024. They probably expected that they would continue to issue 5,000-6,000 PRs, but the quotas have been changed. Probably only around 40-50% of the PAL inventory is in the priority stream. If nothing changes, those applications will fully occupy the PR quotas for 2025-2027.
- Based on the data that I've seen, I can assume that the average number of applications per startup is actually ~5, so there are probably about 3,700 startups in the inventory
Yes, the annual quota increase is the only option. I guess we all need to ask our DOs (especially the priority ones: tech network incubators, angel groups, VCs) if they have any lobbying resources to influence the annual quota. Even if it will not happen this year, can still significantly speed up the process for everyone.Great insight, So it's a Big Black Box. Non Priority applications have no chance in near future. But let's be hopeful and be patient, the only solution I can see from here on is increment in the annual Quota which is highly unlikely.
