Has anyone applied for a PRTD recently?
I applied for one about 3 weeks back and received the email for passport submission 2 days later. Booked an appointment at VFS and submitted the passport and IRCC received it in another 2 days. All of this took a week. I've been waiting for a little more than 2 weeks now and am unsure how long this should take.
Does IRCC start the actual verification process after passport submission or is that all done beforehand and this is just stamping of the passport with the PRTD?
I chose the non urgent option but I kind of regret it now. The job market really opened up in the last month and I am actively applying. I don't want to be in a situation where I have a job offer but no passport, let alone PRTD.
