GOT TFN BY CALLING THEM AFTER A MONTH MAY BE IN MID FEB 25
WASN'T ABLE TO LINK MY APPLICATION UNTIL BIO MATRIC UPDATED IN MARCH
got approved in 4 days, after biomatric updated

I called IRCC and was told that you cannot link your application using the Temporary File Number (TFN). They explained that once the responsible office reviews your application and confirms it is complete, you will be issued a permanent application number.

Until then, it’s not possible to link the application to your online account using the TFN to check its status.

Did you happen to ask how long it might take for them to issue the permanent application number or what the current timeline looks like? Also, could you please share the phone number you used to call IRCC? I’d like to confirm if my documents were received—UPS tracking shows they reached IRCC on May 22, 2025.

How did you get the update on biometric? If the application was not linked to the TFN?

Hi, I received an automated email from IRCC with a PDF attachment that included details about my biometrics, like the expiry date. Does this mean my biometric information has been updated and that I might receive an approval soon?
