Hi
I am a Canadian citizen living abroad where I met my gf(who is a foreigner) and planning to get married soon and eventually move back to Canada.
Questions are:
Can I start my application here(abroad) before moving?
If Yes...Can I apply for her visitor visa since I am planning to go first?
What would be best outland or inland?
you can start from abroad.
If you apply from abroad it is automatically outland. For PR status the outland is faster however if you guys are planning to move to Canada as soon as possible you can move first and then apply inland.

Agree with the other poster, you can start now by applying outland (citizen abroad sponsoring).

You will need to show some documentation of your 'intent to return' when applying. Since you already plan to go 'first', best is to advise IRCC as soon as you return to Canada (they will often follow up and ask you to show more info about your intent).

Yes, spouse can apply for visitor visa. Best to wait until AOR (the acknowledgement of receipt from IRCC) usually 30-90 days after applying.

Hi
Do I have to wait for AOR then move or I can move before that?
And for the visitor visa..i guess i need to be in Canada to apply that ?

Outland Sponsorship from within QC
For our application.
We’re doing the IMM 5409 for common law declaration form.

Being that we’re in two separate countries
Would we have to:
A. Sign two separate forms and have them notarized. Scam both and upload one single document ?
B. Have one form notarized twice by mailing the physical copy between counties and then uploading it to the profile ?

IRCC may accept two separate copies of the same form, each signed and notarized individually ?
Has this been done before since it’s the easier option and faster ?

As sponsor, you can move at any time.

For visitor visa: your spouse will need to apply, doesn't matter where you are. She'll include the AOR (or refer to it, I don't know exactly how that application procedure works) to show this is a family reunification (so-called).

Ok good..thanks

I need some guidance regarding my wife's spousal application. I was engaged to my wife while my permanent residency (PR) application was in process. I received my PR last year, and a few months ago we got married. We had multiple ceremonies according to my culture.

I would like clarification on whether being engaged at the time I received my Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) has any impact, especially since we were not married then and my status was still single. I've received some confusing information from others who said I needed to inform IRCC when I got engaged. However, from what I understand, I only need to inform IRCC about a change in status, and being engaged does not change my status.

Could someone please help clarify this for me?

No issues as long as you weren't common law.

Why can't i register for the application status tracker? i provided all the right information but it keeps saying it didnt match on the Use of a representative form. Im the Sponsor, my wife who's the Principal Applicant already created her account succesfully. Tried to create as Sponsor and Representative but i dont know why it wont let me.

I am applying for my wife's spousal application and need clarification on a few points. I will be filling out her forms and submitting the application on her behalf, while she will complete and sign the representative forms.

First, can I create an account using my email address, or does my wife need to create an account with her own email?

Second, regarding her current job, what information should I include in the section that asks for the end date, considering that her job is ongoing? Should I leave the end date section blank?

If you get married or are common-law you will not qualify to sponsor your sister as a “lonely Canadian”.

I read on IRCC website that for visitor visa...an invitation letter is required?
My plan is to apply outland..wait for AOR then apply for visitor visa for my wife(so we can go together). Is that something doable?
Thanks
