My PR application got cancelled 3 days ago because my wife's police check certificate (PCC) was issued 3 months prior of her last residence in home country. She ordered it but flied 3 months later.
It's actually my oversight since we got ITA in Dec 8 2023, when my wife was at postpartum stage.
  • For my own pcc, because I feel that there was unexpected delay in getting my own PCCC, I started to get it through our Embassy in Nov 11 and until 27 Dec I got it.
  • Then when I got ITA, it turned out that my wife had to submit PCC although my application was declared without accompany. Our country requires presence to deliver PCC unless receive the document from Embassy. Because our permits both were going to expire in Jan 2024, her postpartum, 2 months baby, unexpected delays in getting PCC, I decided to use her last PCC that she made before leaving home country.
  • Now, they cancelled my application without hesitation, no ADR or time window for us to explain or escalate. I'm so desparated right now, as our status is on edge.
Some actions that I immediately made after 2 days:
  • Created new Express Entry profile since the old one is cancelled to make sure I'm eligible to be in the pool
  • Already ordered new spouse's PCC through embassy in the same day my application got cancelled
  • Ordering GCMS note to hope know what's other invalid stuff along with spouse's PCC
  • Going to reach local MP for help.
My question is what is the best strategy in this case to re-open my PR application? I feel very disappointed and unfair, as we spent a lot of time and resources to get to this stage, and we have a little baby that we don't want to low her opportunity to get a better future. I'm really sad. Thank you.

Incomplete applications are generally cancelled without ADR and unfortunately your application was incomplete. All dependents are required to provide PCCs that meet the requirements regardless of whether they are accompanying or non accompanying.

Try sending a web form to IRCC to see if they will reopen you application and attach the right PCC.

Most likely you will need to reapply from scratch but there's no harm trying the web form.

You can'r really do much now. Do your best to get invited again and prepare all the necessary documents.
It's hard now to get invitation. My CRS is only 486, as my status is on visitor record now. Recovering this application is the best way for us.

Definitely send the web form to ask IRCC to reopen. Make sure you include the right PCC for your spouse along with the web form. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
