So this is what I think

  1. Your ecopr expiry date is based on when you TOOK the medical (not when it was marked as passed in the tracker)
  2. P2 is sent in the order of when they send out P1 (because they do not know your ecopr expiry yet)
  3. You are added to a queue based of your expiry (probably grouped by the month). Then ordered by who filled out P2 first. So all November expiry would be prioritized over December expiry, but people in that group are prioritized by who filled out/received P2 first.
  4. There is probably a further level of complications where some visa officers are just faster than each other which is where the chaos happens.
This is just my guess but the data is looking more and more clear. It seems like we are starting to see January expiries for people who got P2 in January-March.

What do you all think?

1. for the ecopr expiry..I think it depend whether you took the medical or was it extended based on the 5 year rule. if you took the exam it will be that date, if it is extended it will be the date officer marks as passed.
2. P2 depends on the officer who has your file. they have different pattern. I think some of them work on it every week, some wait for a month.
3. queue is based on ecopr expiry- correct. and I think this also depends which officers queue you are in or there is a single queue? not sure

what are your thoughts on this?

intersting points. How fascinating!

I think my ecopr expiry is Jan 22 2025 because that is a year from when i first took the medical (my processing time took nearly 4 years when you consider the quebec side)

As we get more data in our spreadsheet we will figure it out. But they are on January which is good so hopefully a lot of us will have our ecopr in the next few weeks.

I agree with you on point #1—I had taken my medical exam in November 2022, and it was marked as passed/extended in January 2024, hence January 2025 as the expiration date of my CoPR. I guess we can only speculate on the rest.
