Hi everyone,
My uncle recently applied for a visitor visa to Canada. To my surprise, he got refused but I am not sure why as he was the ideal candidate for Canada to issue a visit visa to.
I mean, a healthy bank statement, extensive travel history with a valid US visa and an invitation letter from his brother in toronto.
can anyone deduce why he was rejected? Does it make sense to appeal/gcms notes?

The statement make it very prone to rejection and most likely he will get rejected if he didn't show the following:
The officers are usually interested in
* Home country ties
* Family ties
* Financial ties (Job/Business) etc
* Property/assets ?
* Something he have to get back to his country!

This need to be addressed well in your application.

Keep in mind his brother in toronto make his ties to Canada significant and he have to show that his home country ties are stronger.
Just money in account is not enough, he must show that he have business or job ties to his home country.
I am not sure, if he is resident in home country or abroad, if he is resident abroad he will need to show more ties to resident country and home country as well. Resident of third country like Dubai etc make his application more weak.

Bro, he is a citizen in his home country, home ties such as employment letter as well as company letters were included. He also added car registration papers along with property. Furthermore, this guy visits his brother almost every year if not every other year, so proof of travel and return was there as well.
Why would anyone with a valid US visa want to immigrate to Canada?

So, he is visiting his brother each year and had a Canada visa previously?
Get your GCMS notes, to have insights.
There must be something fishy in the application.

What is the cost to get gcms notes? Are there chances for rejection? How long does this take?
