Hi everyone,
Any news from Scarborough office with regards to Oath Ceremonies? I wrote my test on June 1st and haven't heard anything from them yet.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Now that we're seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, can someone summarize what would be implemented right away when this bill passes and becomes law?
fair enough. But 2 questions:
1- Does receiving royal assent mean it becomes a law?
2- And I don't understand how it can receive royal assent without going back to the HoC for the last step of voting. Can someone familiar with the process please explain?
What happened today? Did they vote or not?
(Sorry the answer to this question might be found in 5-10 pages of random comments) But I would highly appreciate it if someone just provides an update. Thanks.

According to this link, they will be voting tomorrow before sending it back to the Parliament.
So what's the process like in the committee? Is it going to be multiple sessions just like the second reading or it could be a one time thing? And when are they going to discuss this bill?
Hi all,
I would like to know if I can send an invitation letter for my sister to come to Canada for a visit while I receive employment insurance benefits.
Please let me know if me receiving employment insurance will effect her getting a visa.

Hey folks,
I became a Permanent Resident in April 2014. With this new Bill C-24 that is a law now, will I be affected? Or the old Law still applies to me?
Regards
Hi,
Those who got their passport back with the Visa, which address did you use? Did you use courier or canada post? Which one's faster? Please share your experiences.
Thanks.
