i think you should be able to get the money back, not sure how long it will take i'm in the same boat as you, but we applied family sponsorship in july 2014... haven't heard anything back, just got ITA in the last draw and preparing to submit the documents soon, hopefully we get to hear from...

That's weird, because we only received one confirmation (which is the AOR) last August. We didn't receive any additional emails from CIC. I used the applicant's information to log into ecas and it is showing application received, meds result received.

finally... after 8 months of submitting the application, it is showing up on ecas ... not that it contains any useful information... but at least a step forward

Agree... but I will be expecting an OWP coming in the mail sometime around June though... otherwise I'll call to follow up with them
