Any update for you? We applied two weeks before you, also received pre-arrival letter Dec 8th, but no communications since then; no updates on the PRT tracker either. I noticed you applied for OWP too. Did that get approved?

AOR get's sent to the sponsor and not to the PA.

Yes, confirming receipt of “invitation to pre-arrival services” letter for my spouse on Dec 8; the sponsor eligibility letter was received a couple of weeks prior to that. I think some of the Oct/Nov applications have been progressing faster.

What is ECAS? is it the same as PRT status? If not, could you please share a link to it? TY TY !

I am (inland) sponsoring my spouse and 2 children (age 18, 20). Application submitted Oct 25th and moved fast with biometrics, medical, etc. No outstanding document requests. Spouse (PA) has already received pre-arrival letter on Dec 8th, but both my children's eligibility has not yet been...

From what I read, you have to submit online. Were you able to do that? When you submitted the SOWP, were you able to reference the fees paid previously with the sponsorship application? Thanks.

Thanks for starting this thread. Could you please tell how you went about submitting the SOWP? We just got our AOR and trying to do the same. On GCKey, we did: - "apply to come to Canada" - select "determine eligibility" button - Pick "Work" and "Temporary, greater than 6m" - ... - family member...

From scouring the threads, it seems IRCC starts a background check process, which will vary significantly based on the number of people being sponsored and their unique circumstances such as countries where they have lived. This might be why there is a wide disparity of time between next steps...

Honestly, you should follow the Document Checklist (IMM5533) and submit all documents. my children were of adult age (>18) and I needed to submit the IMM5406 and IMM5669 for each child. Good luck.

Thank you for the insight. I was not aware of the AOR going to sponsor. I do see an email now- while it does not have the actual words of AOR, the essence of the email confirms receipt and jives with the date in statustracker. Oct 25 - in-land spouse and 2 children app submitted Oct 29 - “AOR”...
