    September 2021 - Citizenship Applications

All of those for me were done Oct 5th and updated in the system Oct 6th. I logged on today and I am scheduled for my oath ceremony on Nov 2. So I would log in and check if you have it scheduled. You should be able to apply for an expedited passport with proof of travel.

    PR or open Work permit?

It sounds like your fiance is not a Canadian PR or citizen & if that's the case, she can't sponsor you to become a PR. You will have to look into different ways to become a PR (ex: Express entry) rather than family sponsorship.

Selling your car in the US vs. importing it into Canada

I imported my vehicle from the USA. I wouldn't say it was difficult, but time consuming for sure. A US driver's license is valid in canada for either 60-90 days after you land. Then you need to have a drivers license in whatever province you're living in. Insurance rates were higher (in Ontario)...

I didn't write in any of the details. The border person did all of that for me. I'm not sure if that's because it was slow or if that's just their norm at that port. I didn't want to fill it out wrong.

    Urgent help needed !

    Exporting a Vehicle from US

I kept my car in the US for 72 hours, so I can't say for sure. Someone else has posted on here about this recently. I would call the border directly and get the person's name when they say you can just do a 180 and come back into canada so that if you're denied for any reason, you can say, "I...

Canada PR and H1b, living in USA

You will have to pay taxes in the USA and Canada I would assume. You should consult a tax agent who deals with cross-border taxes.

Exporting/Importing Vehicle - US to Canada ONLY!

That's strange to me. Each border might do it differently though. I would assume the people at the border you're crossing should know their policy though. I might call back again to that border and verify with someone else, and make sure you get their name. That way if there is an issue you can...

Exporting/Importing Vehicle - US to Canada ONLY!

To export your car from the US to Canada your car must remain in the US for 72 hours prior to export. Call the border to ask if there's restrictions on exporting a vehicle. Each border is different.
